1. Introduction

Welcome to Aiken Center for the Arts (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website  https://aikencenterforthearts.org and participation in our classes, programs, memberships, and events.

By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

2. Membership Terms

2.1 Membership Benefits
Memberships may include:

  • Discounts on select art classes and workshops
  • Invitations to special events and exhibits
  • Complimentary tickets for higher-tier members
  • Discounts on facility rentals (Silver level and above)

Benefits are subject to change and are non-transferable.

2.2 Membership Fees & Renewals

  • All membership fees are non-refundable once processed.
  • Auto-renewals may apply; your payment method on file will be charged at the end of each term unless canceled in advance.

3. Class & Workshop Policies

  • Advance registration and full payment are required for all classes.

  • If you or your child has medical or special needs, please inform us at registration so we can provide appropriate support.

4. Age Restrictions

  • Youth programs typically begin at age 5.
  • Some adult classes may have minimum age requirements. Contact us if you’re unsure about eligibility.

5. Liability Waiver

  • Participation in certain programs may require a signed waiver.
  • By enrolling, you acknowledge potential risks and release Aiken Center for the Arts from liability related to injury, loss, or damage.

6. Canvas (Art Center Canvas) Use

  • Some classes may require a Canvas (Art Center Canvas) account to access materials.
  • Aiken Center for the Arts is not responsible for technical issues with the Canvas platform. Canvas support inquiries should be directed to the Art Center Canvas team.

7. Acceptable Use & Copyright

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Respect intellectual property rights. Course content and materials may not be copied, distributed, or resold without permission.
  • Avoid plagiarism or unauthorized commercial use of program content.

We reserve the right to remove individuals from programs for violations of these terms.

8. Communication Consent

By registering for classes or events or joining as a member, you agree to receive emails from us, including program announcements and promotions.

You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in emails or by contacting us.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Aiken Center for the Arts is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our site or participation in programs.
  • We do not guarantee continuous or error-free access to the website or digital class content.

10. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time. The updated version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
