Save the date for the introduction of what is sure to be the best party in town, Beaux Arts Masquerade. This new event will be one of only two annual fund-raising events for the Aiken Center for the Arts and we believe it will become the social and philanthropic highlight of Aiken’s fall season.
Beaux Arts Masquerade Fundraising Event will be held on
Friday, October 19, 2018
Tickets are $75 per person and include 2 drinks and hors d’oeuvres. While costumes are encouraged, they will be optional. Patrons can choose to dress in full costume regalia or may opt for a whimsical accessory such as a mask or a hat. If you aren’t one to wear a costume, you can still come and enjoy the festive Masquerade atmosphere and cheer on your friends as they vie for the Best Costumes award. A variety of live entertainment options are planned for the evening that will be enjoyed with delicious food and adult beverages. There will also be a Live Auction of “Happenings,” including special dinner gatherings, event packages, and destination getaways.
Plans call for Beaux Arts Masquerade to be our featured fundraising event of the 2018 fall season in lieu of A Taste of Wine and Art. Mary Coleman, Executive Director, explains, “A Taste of Wine and Art has been a successful fundraiser due to the extreme generosity of our local restaurants and caterers. We appreciate their past support but felt it was time to give them a much needed break.” Coleman went on to say that A Taste of Wine and Art could return in the future but for now, she hoped our supporters will embrace Beaux Arts Masquerade.
Through the funds generated from this event, we will be able to continue to offer art programs for adults and children, scholarships, outreach programs including those for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and special needs children. Our music program will continue to thrive, and individuals of all ages can continue to create beautiful art using a wide variety of mediums under the direction of gifted instructors.
